What’s the Best Driver for Amateurs?

If you’re asking this, first of all—respect. Admitting you're an amateur is the first step toward greatness (and fewer lost balls).
When picking a driver, here’s what to look for (and what to avoid unless you enjoy slices that end up in other zip codes):
💡 Forgiveness: You want a clubhead that’s like your grandma—sweet, supportive, and not mad when you miss the mark. Look for a big sweet spot and a design that helps with off-center hits.
💡 Shaft Flex: If your swing speed isn’t breaking any records, go for a more flexible shaft. Stiff shafts are for people trying to out-drive Bryson.
💡 Adjustability: Some drivers let you tweak loft and weight. That’s fancy stuff. But if you’re not ready for a science degree in launch angle, just find one that feels good and flies straight-ish.
👎 Avoid: Ultra-low-spin monsters meant for pros. You’re not on the PGA Tour (yet).
✅ Our Favorites: Callaway Rogue ST Max, TaylorMade Stealth 2, or anything that doesn’t make you feel like crying after 9 holes.
Remember: the best driver is the one that lets you confidently say, “I’m going to crush this.” And then you kinda do.
