Thinking about joining a country club? Fancy pants. Let’s break it down like a three-putt par save:
🎉 Positives:
Course Access: Tee times whenever you want = priceless. (Except it’s not. It’s very expensive.)
Facilities: Pools, tennis courts, locker rooms that don’t smell like 2007.
Networking: Where else can you land a business deal while shanking a 5-iron?
Events: Member-guest tournaments, wine tastings, and things with dress codes. (Time to dust off those loafers.)
🙄 Negatives:
Cost: Initiation + dues + that “capital improvement fee” = bye, paycheck.
Politics: Not that kind. We mean "Bob always gets the good tee times" politics.
Dress Code: Sometimes, cargo shorts are a crime. Who knew?
Obligations: Yes, you have to go to the member dinner. Yes, Janet will ask about your handicap.
In the end, it’s a vibe thing. If you want prestige, pampering, and never playing behind a fivesome in tank tops—go for it. If you like rolling up in gym shorts with a breakfast burrito in hand, public might still be your place.
